  • Conductor: The conductor is made of FS-grade multi-strand tinned copper, providing exceptional flexibility to be pulled along with moving machinery without breaking easily. Tin plating on the conductor protects against corrosion in humid or acidic environments.

  • Insulation: Mining cables are equipped with strong insulation. Each cable core uses EPR rubber insulation, which maintains its dielectric properties even under mechanical stress.

  • Outer Layer: The outer layer uses a special polychloroprene (PROTOFIRM 5GM5). This PCP jacket provides exceptional resistance to abrasion, oil, chemicals, and moisture penetration.

  • High Resistance to Abrasion and Wear: Thanks to the special PCP rubber jacket (PROTOFIRM 5GM5) which is resistant to friction from uneven surfaces and solid particles. This extends the service life of the cable especially on skid tracks or conveyor belts, where mineral abrasives can damage the usual armor.

  • Maximum Flexibility for Mobile Equipment: The fine-stranded conductor and flexible EPR coating allow the cable to be repeatedly bent and pulled without fatigue. This design is ideal for mining environments where the cable is constantly being rolled and pulled (e.g., haulage vehicles or cable skids).

  • Fire Resistance: Feichun cable meets fire-resistant standards to enhance fire safety. Fire-resistant materials and designs are used to minimize the spread of fire.

  • Durability in Extreme Environments: Thick insulation and robust conductor construction provide exceptional durability. Feichun cables are designed for operation in confined spaces and harsh underground environments, withstanding vibration and continuous mechanical stress. They also meet advanced safety standards: flame retardant according to IEC60332-1-2 (self-extinguishing in case of fire).

Indonesia's tropical rainforest climate results in high temperatures and high humidity throughout the year, which poses challenges to the insulation performance and aging resistance of cables.

  • Highly Corrosive Soil and Air

Soil containing sulfur or salt is common in several regions of Indonesia, particularly in coastal areas or near volcanoes.
These conditions can cause chemical corrosion on the outer layer of cables, shortening their lifespan.

  • Mechanical Wear and Physical Impact

Open-pit mines use a lot of heavy equipment like excavators, drills, and trucks, which makes cables vulnerable to pressure, pulling, and abrasion.
Underground mines are confined to confined spaces, requiring cables to be frequently folded and routed through winding paths, and they face the risk of being struck by falling objects.

Underground mines often contain flammable gases and dust, increasing the risk of fire and explosion.
Therefore, cables must be flame-retardant, heat-resistant, and halogen-free with low smoke emission (LSZH).

Cables must also span long distances, be flexible, and have low voltage loss.
